Tottenham Hotspur Personalised Football Calendar

A Unique Gift Idea For Spurs Fans!

Tottenham Hotspur FC is a London-based football team with a rich tradition of success. The club first won a major trophy all the way back in 1901, beating Sheffield United in the FA Cup final. Spurs built steadily on this early triumph and in the late 1940s, manager Arthur Rose pioneered a 'Push and Run' playing technique that would prove pivotal to the club's development. Tottenham gained promotion to the top flight and in 1951, and Spurs soon won their first Division One title. The club became English champions a second time ten years later, winning the FA Cup in the same season. By claiming both trophies, Spurs became the first English team to win the 'Double' in the twentieth century. Tottenham Hotspur created history again two years later when they won the European Cup Winners' Cup, as it was first time a British football club had won a major European trophy.

Tottenham's league form began to decline in the 1970s, but the cup triumphs have continued. Spurs have won at least one trophy in each of the past six decades - a feat only matched by Manchester United.

Our Personalised Tottenham Hotspur Calendars feature a fascinating selection of articles and match reports on some of the best games from the club's history. Starting from the month of your choice, these A3 Calendars are a great gift idea for any Spurs fan and they will bring back wonderful memories of some fabulous performances

Calendar Highlights

The Personalised Tottenham Hotspur Calendars begin in 1921 with the 1-0 FA Cup final win against Wolverhampton Wanderers FC. The match took place at Stamford Bridge and the FA Cup was the last major trophy the club would win for thirty years. Spurs continued to develop however, and in 1934, the team thrashed Aston Villa 1-5 in a classic encounter on their way to a third place finish in the First Division.

Bill Nicholson became manager of Tottenham Hotspur in 1958 and he certainly started his reign with a bang! Spurs thrashed Everton FC 10-4, which was a record league victory for Tottenham at the time and a sign of things to come for the club under the new boss. Nicholson's time in charge would lead to one of the greatest eras in Tottenham Hotspur's history and our A3 Calendar features many highlights from this special spell at the club. In 1961, Spurs beat Sheffield Wednesday 2-1 to win the First Division for a second time. In 1962, Burnley were defeated 3-1 in the FA Cup Final. Three years later, Tottenham produced another fantastic FA Cup performance, thrashing Torquay United 5-1 in the third round replay.

Tottenham Hotspur FC was enjoying consistent top flight football at this time and league stability helped the club earn regular success in cup competitions. In 1971, Spurs beat Aston Villa 2-0 to win the League Cup for the first time. During the next season, Tottenham beat Keflavik 9-0 to wrap up a 15-1 aggregate win in the UEFA Cup first round. This would eventually lead the team to a second European title. Bill Nicholson left Tottenham Hotspur in 1974, but our Calendar Gift features further cup triumphs for the club, as the team's strong tradition in knock-out competition continued.

In 1982, Spurs were in contention for all four trophies until late into the season and won the FA Cup 1-0 against Queens Park Rangers. In 2002, Tottenham Hotspur thrashed London rivals Chelsea FC 5-1 in the League Cup semi-finals. Spurs beat Chelsea again in the 2008 League Cup final. New manager Juande Ramos had come to the club with a reputation for winning cups and this 2-1 win thrilled the Tottenham fans. It was the first trophy the team had won for nine years.
