Crystal Palace Personalised Football Calendar
Terrific Gift Idea For Fans Of The Eagles!
Crystal Palace FC used to be known as 'the Glaziers', as the club originally played it's football at Glass Palace - a former athletics centre, located at top of Sydenham Hill. When World War One broke out, the club was forced to leave the stadium and so the team relocated to it's current home, Selhurst Park. At the end of the 1960s, Crystal Palace enjoyed it's first period in football's top flight and following a new image and crest, the side soon became nicknamed the Eagles. Qualification to the highest league would become frequent, even after the club was hit by financial problems in the 1990s and forced into a period of administration.
Our Personalised Crystal Palace Calendars are a unique gift idea that look back over some of the club's finest moments from the past fifty years. Including twelve match reports from our newspaper archives, these A3 Calendars provide a wonderful walk down memory lane every single month and they are also a useful way to organise your schedule.
Calendar Highlights
Our Personalised Crystal Palace Calendars contain reports on a fantastic mixture of entertaining games and significant matches.
Highlights of the A3 Calendar include stories about the final league matches of the 1997 and 2004 seasons. Played against Sheffield United and West Ham respectively, Crystal Palace won both games to guarantee the club promotion to the Premiership. We also incorporate FA Cup success against Sunderland from 1976 and two classic cup victories of 1990, versus Premier League giants Liverpool and Arsenal. The Liverpool match in particular was a phenomenal occasion and it has been described by Crystal Palace fans as the club's finest ever performance. The Eagles would win the game 4-3 in the 109th minute thanks to a Alan Pardew header and progress to the FA Cup Final.
Other great Crystal Palace matches featured in your Calendar Gift include a 1-0 victory against Manchester United in 1980, a 3-1 win against Chelsea in 1993 and a second triumph against Liverpool FC - this time from the 1999/2000 season.
