Bristol Rovers Football Calendar
A Great Gift for any Bristol Rovers fan!
Since their formation as the Black Arabs in 1883, Bristol Rovers have spent much of their time yo-yoing between leagues, while always throwing in plenty of memorable moments for good measure. Presumably that's why it's never dull being a Pirate!
Rovers' fans know what it's like to experience the lows, so when the highs come along they're all the more special. Now there's the chance to relive a selection of them through our brilliant personalised Bristol Rovers Calendar. It features 12 match reports from our newspaper archive, making it a swashbuckling gift for any diehard Pirate.
Calendar Features
Things kick off in the 1950s, a decade that marked Rovers' most successful period. You'll find three match reports from the era, including two that correspond with the club's top-six finishes in England's second tier during '56 and '59.
The 1960s also feature three times. Arguably the most memorable of which is the 1963 4-0 romp of local rivals, Bristol City. We follow this up some three years later with coverage of another four goals, this time against Gillingham.
The next three months may 'only' feature draws, but it's the calibre of the opposition that make them stand out. First comes a 1-1 stalemate with Chelsea in '76. One year later it's another 1-1, this time against the mighty Forest. And finally, one more 1-1 draw against Liverpool in 1992.
The final three months of the calendar are basically the Rickie Lambert years. As such, you've got three victories against Shrewsbury, Fulham and Southampton – two of which feature Rickie's exploits in the headline.

In Rovers' instance, it gets under way in 1913 and features reprints of original newspaper reports from various standout moments. And because it only wraps up at the end of last season, everything's bang up to date. The other Bristol Rovers gift we sell is the personalised diary, which contains the same reports as this calendar.
